Letter from the Department Chair
On behalf of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, I would like to personally welcome you. We appreciate your interest in our education, research, and clinical program.
ARMC EM is dedicated to high quality resident education, excellence in patient care, and is committed to resident wellness. Our residents are exposed to the entire spectra of emergency medicine and will complete residency well-educated and competent to provide state of the art emergency care. In addition to maintaining our high standard of patient care, our program is singularly aligned with the long-term goals of ARMC leadership as an academic health center in the County of San Bernardino. Simply put, we are committed to training the next generation of leaders in Emergency Medicine. The interdisciplinary nature of Emergency Medicine is consistent with a culture of collaboration across specialties, departments, schools, and institutions.
When we started the ARMC Emergency Medicine Residency in 2004, my main focus as the Chair was not just to establish a good program, but a GREAT program. We have accomplished that goal.
Our residents continually and consistently perform in the upper quartile of the In-service Exam, and we have a pass rate of 100% on the board examination. Our residents are highly recruited and have been successful with job placement at excellent facilities and fellowship programs. This validates our graduates as very well-trained, equipped and educated in Emergency Medicine. It is my guarantee that we will maintain a superior training site for emergency medicine education.
I welcome you to check out our website and/or contact us for additional information. Within this dynamic academic enterprise of robust clinical, educational, and research initiatives, resides a diverse community of scholars and clinicians who work alongside some of the most dedicated emergency medicine staff in the West.
With warmest professional regards,
Rodney Borger, MD, FACEP
